Hermaphroditic (also called concentric) connectors are half-moon metal circular connectors that combine male and female contacts on one connector. Their protected contacts that make them the first choice for many general-purpose applications. Single coaxial and triaxial contact inserts can be blindly inserted in any orientation and rotated into any direction for easy blind-mating.

These multi-contact connectors are most frequently used in industrial, medical, communications and research applications.
